MGA takes 'Make It In Malta' pitch to SBC Summit Lisbon

The Malta Gaming Authority will exhibit at SBC Summit Lisbon for the first time under the 'Make It In Malta' banner, showcasing the island's full gaming ecosystem.
The Malta Gaming Authority will exhibit at SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 for the first time, using the 'Make It In Malta' banner to present the country's complete gaming ecosystem to an international audience.
The initiative brings together the MGA, GamingMalta, Identità, Malta Enterprise, and Bank of Valletta. Each entity covers a distinct pillar: regulation, business and investment support, visa and identity services, and banking.
The MGA introduced 'Make It In Malta' at ICE Barcelona earlier this year. The Lisbon appearance extends that campaign to one of the industry's largest global gatherings.
SBC Summit Lisbon runs from 29 September to 1 October at Feira Internacional de Lisboa. The event draws operators, suppliers, regulators, and service providers from across the worldwide gaming sector.
MGA Chief Executive Officer Charles Mizzi said the first exhibition at SBC Lisbon gives the authority another important platform to engage directly with the international gaming community, and crucially to do so as part of the wider Maltese ecosystem.
Mizzi said effective regulation remains at the heart of Malta's gaming proposition, but the strength of the jurisdiction extends well beyond regulation alone. He noted that a mature ecosystem of expertise, infrastructure and support services has developed around the sector over the years, supporting businesses at every stage of their journey. Through 'Make It In Malta', these different elements are brought together to present a fuller picture of what Malta offers to gaming businesses.
Throughout the summit, representatives from the MGA and partner organisations will engage with industry stakeholders, exchange insights, and showcase the components of the gaming ecosystem.
The 'Make It In Malta' stand is located in Hall 2, Booth B251. Meetings can be booked through GamingMalta.
For Malta's business community, the coordinated pitch underlines how the country is positioning itself as a full-service hub, not merely a regulatory home. The presence of BOV signals that banking access, a frequent pain point for gaming firms, is being actively packaged into the jurisdictional offer.
